About Us
Mission
The Madison Patient Safety Collaborative:
- provides a structure for area
healthcare providers to learn and work collaboratively to develop,
share and implement evidence-based patient safety practices;
- partners with healthcare researchers
to develop new knowledge in patient safety;
- shares effective patient safety
practices with provides and communities beyond Madison, and
- takes an active role in the education
of healthcare professional students to ensure their adoption of
effective patient safety practices.
Vision
To make patient healthcare the safest possible.
Structure
The core of the MPSC is comprised of:
- Key administrative and quality
improvement leadership from each of the member organizations to serve
as decision makers.
- Smaller, focused workgroups who meet
to design and implement MPSC projects
By working together, the collaborative
aims to make improvements in healthcare safety at a level not possible
at each individual organization alone and serve as a model that will
encourage other communities to adopt such a cooperative approach in the
best interests of all healthcare consumers.
Meeting schedule
The MPSC meets monthly on the second Monday of the month. If you have a
particular interest in attending one of the meetings, please contact
Kendra Jacobsen at (608) 417-5889 or at
kjacobsen@meriter.com.
