The Madison Patient Safety Collaborative (MPSC) was established in September 2000 when Madison hospitals and medical groups came together and created a formal structure through which area healthcare providers could work together to develop and implement solutions designed to improve the quality and safety of patient care provided in the Madison community.

Five years later we continue to work on initiatives in the Madison area. These patient safety initiatives include:

Through collaboration with the Systems Engineering Initiative for Patient Safety (SEIPS) at the University of Wisconsin - Madison we have been able to study:
