Class offered: Disclosure of Unanticipated Outcomes and Medical Errors
MPSC currently offers a class on Disclosure of Unanticipated Outcomes
and Medical Errors. This class has been completed by about 100 providers
in the Madison area and has been rated very highly. Credit is
offered for this class through the Bayer Institute for Healthcare
Communication.
The
next disclosure class has not been scheduled at this time.

Sharing sessions
MPSC organizes sharing sessions throughout the year to on timely topics.
Sharing sessions bring together expert teams from each organization in
Madison to share tips on how this topic has impacted their organization,
what types of changes have been put in place recently to streamline
processes and what are the most common barriers in implementing changes.
Most recent sharing sessions have been on surgical site marking and
verification, dangerous abbreviations, critical results reporting and building safe hospitals and
facilities.
